I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Psalm 91:2

Anticipation fills the air! And we start using words we never use. What even is figgy pudding and who is Yuletide Carol? This season is also filled with other words that seem to be a little more special this time of year. Hope, Peace, Joy and Love appear everywhere as we countdown to the birth of a Savior-a savior who promises that even in this imperfect world, we can experience hope, peace, joy, and love. This series reminds us Christmas is just the start of better things.

Week 1: Where there is not hope, bring it.

Week 2: Where there is not peace, bring it.

Week 3: Where there is not joy, bring it.

Week 4: Because of Jesus you can know God loves you.

Our vision

The Refuge Student Ministry at First Baptist Dexter exists to develop committed followers of Jesus Christ and multiply communities of faith

(2 Timothy 2:2).

Our values

We value Biblical authority, life change,

authentic community,

relational evangelism, strategic service, compassion, excellence, and generosity.

Our goal is to live out these values by:

1. Share Christ with unbelievers;

2. Equip the believers;

3. Serve the hurting;

4. Exalt Christ in worship.
